The Gauntlet objective is passing through the log traps, investigate 3 Jaguar statues and at last in the Treasure Room to get 3 azure skulls hidden behind big stone blocks. After the requirements and quests, here are 2 overviews for you to get all with a quick look. Following there are some more detailed screen shoots.
Requirements (level 31): 5400 supplies, 5 food/fuel/water
Gadgets: Optional - 1 grappling hook and several dynamites
Very useful the crew help here, so do ask for crew members before start the expedition

The snake got behind the statue, just cutting 1 vine. Though you can cut the two behind, I think. |

| 1st trap, a snake falls in it. Great! |

| You can use a crew here to pick up the vases and you just can run away from the snake. From passing to the other side, or you use the crumbling block or if you have extra coins, just use the dynamite. But, first you need to go to the other room in the next screen shoot. |

| Only entry for this room: a big stone block costs 3 energy with the 4hp axe. |

Use the crew to go up and get vines (I didn't but later I returned here because I needed vines). |

I used dynamite is easier, otherwise position a stone from the right lion mouth and on the button in front of it. |

| To get these 3 vases, use the grappling hook. For going to the other side, place stones on both buttons or use dynamite. you can use a crew help here. If you use the stones, position one and yourself on the other (or both, because the position of the avatar doesn't work all times). If you use the dynamite, after use the crew to "carry the snakes far away" (these are hard to kill 10 hp). |

| Use the grappling hook and then request crew help to go up and collect the 3 vases. Again is better don't killing the snakes. |

| In this room you can lure a snake to fall in the trap or to go far away or killing it. So, disram the trap with the snake, position with a crew help near the trap handle or you must have collected enough vines to disarm the trap, through the handle. Before the trap is disarmed, don't try to go inside for those vines, because you will fall in the trap. |
