Don't forget, you don't have to fight them if you can lure them!

This will show you how to finish crater with the lowest amount of energy used. No vases will be collected. You will need a dynamite to complete this expedition.

Stats: 

Snakes = 6HP, 

Small rocks and flower plants = 4HP, 

Large rocks = 10HP

I believe this is our first volcano location! Pretty, isn't it? To start off, head right and destroy the small rock. Grab the seeing stone.

Head left and disable the yellow fire trap. Walk forward and whip the snake by the blue fire. Go right and hack the flower plant. I went ahead and collected this vase. Disable the purple fire trap and destroy the large rock.

Walk to the left and then disarm the purple trap. Walk forward and whip the snake.

Did you read the tip above? If you did but you are unable to hire anyone, pushing the stone or not pushing the stone will be up to you. Be sure to read the tip. If you don't you will be using energy you could have saved.

Now we can get to the puzzle side! Push the rock to the first switch to disable the flames. Collect the seeing stone. Go up the shorter bridge.

That cart pushing takes up a lot of energy so let's get some of it back. Turn off the yellow switch. Strafe (Walk backwards by one step, then go back to where you started). The snakes will go forward by one square. Activate the switch and they will be flamed. Collect your victory prize, disable the fire, then continue up.

From here hit the purple switch. What to do next will be explained below.

The left image is where we were. You should be standing by the switch though, now that it's disabled.

To get the snake in the right position, stand on the first vent like in the picture to the right. Go back to the purple switch and turn it on. He should be toasted.

Disable the yellow fire, whip the snake, and press onward. Break the large rock and then cut the flower plant. Whip the snake that is free roaming.

Destroy the small rock to get to the blue switch. When the blue switch is disabled, move one step forward (Where the small rock once was) and then move backward (Basically, strafe). The snake should be standing on a vent. Activate the blue fire and he should be toasty. Disable the fire once more and then collect the seeing stone.

Use your dynamite. Buy it for either 1,000 coins at your tool shop or buy it from Rewardsville (100 rewardsville coins). Disable the yellow trap and move closer to the snake to grab his attention. Go back to the switch and activate it. Disable it again and run across the vents.

Do the same thing to the red side.

After you disable the blue flames and run across, we're at the heart of the level. Destroy the small volcano rock and then collect the seeing stone. !!DO NOT!! whip the snake. He will stay there as you collect the seeing stone. Collect the ring. Now that all of our quests are finished besides the one for whipping snakes (We left the last one here untouched) you have one day to collect all of the vases. 

I usually complete the main objective for expeditions and keep them going until I clear everything in the level so I have something to spend energy on. However, if you want to finish it now, go ahead and whip Mr.snakey.
